I Am Number Four Review

Yup.

I think today, I did some stuffs, with my parents.

Not sure what, though.

I remained blurrrrrrr in the morning and afternoon.

So I went to UCTI after that with my family.

Needless to say, Mum boasted about me, and I met a scary person there...

One who... is just like Mum.

Only better than her... as he also boasts and shows us the newspapers in which 

UCTI got publicity for free -.-;;

Michele, like I said, 

it's 100x scarier than your situation in school before SPM.

Imagine, being almost Form 1 and having your parents boast 

the sun, moon, stars and heavens about you to your future teachers...

Where they look at you in recognition for what they heard you did,

and not what they witnessed.

I felt like crawling somewhere and hiding. It felt too boastful!

I'd rather not let them hear about it,

but witness it and judge me on their own. @_@

Well, after that, we went to IOI Mall...

OhMiGosh!

This is totally AWESOME!!

I would recommend anyone to watch it!

See, here's how the plot goes:

SPOILER ALERT!!

Daniel [the alien] is enjoying his time on the beach when he has an encounter, a vision.

He sees Number Three dies, and a Mogodorian threatening to come after him.

The very next day, Daniel flees that town with Henri, his guardian.

They go to Paradise, Ohio to escape the Mogodorians.

At first, Daniel was barred from going to school, but after the next day,

he goes to school. His new alias is John Smith.

So John meets with Sarah, a junior, then Mark, who picks on Sam.

Eventually, John and Sarah falls in love.

Right then, in astronomy class, Sam's Legacy awakens,

in the form of "lights" in his hands.

He learns to control it, and begins to practice controlling his Legacies.

At a Fair, John then meets up with Sarah. as they go a Haunted House,

Sarah is kidnapped by Mark.

Furious, John fights of four footballers, and then goes in persuit of Sarah....

without realizing that his actions were witnessed by Sam.

Sam then confronts John, and John end up spilling all his secrets to him.

Soon after, Henri tells John that he had been found out, and that John has got to leave.

However, Henri gave John one day to tell Sarah goodbye, as John had fallen in love with her.

For Loriens love differently from humans.

Humans' love may not last a lifetime, but with Loriens, it's forever.

Unfortunately, before that time came for them to leave Paradise, 

Henri was kidnapped and John went with Sam to rescue him. 

There, John had his first encounter with a Mogodorian,

Henri protected John, dying in the process.

After that, John goes to a party in Mark's house to meet with Sarah.

He saves Sarah from slipping of the roof with his powers,

and then runs away from the house to the high school with her as the police drew near.

Little did they know that the Mogodorians had followed them to the high school,

and surrounded them.

As they tried to escape, they met Number Six, who saved them.

Right then, John and Six teamed up, and fought of the Mogodorians.

The ending? Watch yourself! :P

I loved this movie so much, 

and I realized that in the end, I sorta liked Sam a lot!

Okay, my own presonal review?

I liked it lots!

Especially that dog! OhMiGosh!!

SUPER CUTE !!!

Yeah, I liked the movie lots!

Maybe because I have not read the book yet. 

Can't say that I'd be impressed if I had read the book. lol.

It was awesome, actually.

The characters scenes spoke out clearly to you and you'd go 

"Awwww..."

"Lol!! Haha!!"

"@_@ COOOLL"

"WOAHHHH..."

"Yum!! *eating popcorn*"

The fact that I had watched the trailer didn't exactly spoil the movie for me. AT ALL.

Wow. Totally different from Beastly.

Cause there were many parts that wasn't in the trailer, I suppose o.O

Imagine, what a waste if Dad refused to bring us to watch the movie =.=;;

I would've missed the fun.

BTW,

It isn't [and is, I guess] a stand alone movie.

The ending is in a cliff-hanger... sort of, and,

with the 2nd installment coming on the way... 

It might take a long time before another movie comes out.

or it may not come out.

But in any case, the ending is still pretty satisfying.

 Would the Mogodorians win the big battle, or will the Loriens perish?

If I wanted more, I would've had to get the book. lol.

Pros:

Awesome storyline.

Great characters.

Love the dog.

Awesome sound effects

Cons:

The relationship between Sarah and John wasn't exactly developed... much.

But if John says he's in love then, awwww...

There may be a tad little of violence[and blood], I don't know.

I didn't watch the part where the Mogodorians actually "played" with the two humans.

Ending was satisfactory.

But what happens after the movie?

The next installment...

May come out = takes a looooooooong time or!

May not come out = buy the book and read it D:

I'd hug you -even if you are covered in dung...

As mentioned yesterday, I wanted to go to school today to hand in my receipt.

I was planning on going to school right before school ends...

so that, it would be safer, 

the guards can't stop me...

and it's right on time for lunch :D

Guess what? -.-

I started out late [15 mins, like that]

cause I was talking to chele.

After that, I took a bag of water + receipt,

my phone and RM10 lunch money in the left pocket; 

the keys and something in the right pocket.

And unbrella. 

[The weather was freaking *I'm going to die of hot*]

As I left my house, I told my working parents that I was leaving to get this thing done.

So I started this journey. 

Asking God to take care of me as I was walking along... alone.

I crossed the main road [by myself] almost carelessly -.-;;

I went "BREENA!! WTHell IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"

[There wasn't anyone there so I was kinda talking to myself]

After that, I made it to the school... yada yada yada...

And the teacher-in-charge of my order wasn't there... -.-;

Turns out, the teacher-in-charge of my order went for a debate... thing.

Double =.=;;

I mean, why say to give it to you... today... 

if you aren't going to be in school today for the whole day?

But thank God, another teacher was there and offered help to me :)

So, after that, I commenced my journey home.

Just then, on the road, my Dad called.

He asked if I wanted a lift to school and back.

I told him, no. I was already on the way back.

After we hung up, I was already halfway from school to my house;

Before crossing the road, I felt a sudden urge to check on my RM10.

Okay... going through one pocket... my phone. ONLY.

Going through the other pocket... my key. ONLY.

WTHeck?! Where's my 10 bucks?!

Right then I realized, I must've lost it... when I answered my Dad's call.

I felt so angry; I just marched straight home, 

thinking that I should go get some more money for lunch.

But you know, when you've discovered that you've lost something important,

you get upset for a while and have no mood to eat anymore.

Particularly since that thing was so precious and valuable at the same time.

So I just got so angry, muttering to myself all the way home.

I was still grumbling in my heart for loosing that RM10.

Until I took my scapular out from my sweaty neck.

Thinking, "I don't wanna get my scapular all sticky and smelly cause of me."

When I actually felt a presence of a thought came to me and said:

"EVEN IF YOU ARE COVERED IN DUNG, I WILL READILY HUG YOU"

After that, I sighed.

And thanked God.

Because then, I actually realized how great and deep His Love was for me.

Would you hug your most loved and cherished person if that person was all sticky from dried sweat?

Yet, God was still willing, no, so ready to embrace me - even if I was totally disgusting outwardly.

You know, maybe I wasn't supposed to eat at the mamak in the first place.

Maybe if I did, I would've gotten into so much trouble/lost something so important 

that a mere RM10's value is too insignificant to compare with in the first place.

That's when, through the grace of God, 

I didn't really see loosing 10 bucks as a big thing anymore.

I see it as "I was never meant to go there in the first place... it wasn't His Will to do so."

It's funny how I was a totally different person right before being enlightened to God's Will.

I guess that it's true that Love can really change you...

And only a special kind of LOVE can change you immediately, 180 degrees.

It's only through God's Love and Grace.

SPM Result D-day!!!

So, yeah.

The title says it.

Today is the D-day for the SPM Result.

I can tell you... ugh.

Last night, at SR's, [wee early in the morn... 1 - 2 a.m., I think?]

the three of us sat down at her big kitchen table,

eating super light supper and drinking [ahbutthen?] plain water.

We were discussing our feelings, hopes, dreams, experiences and our expectations for today's result.

Needless to say, we were all...

"*sigh* dun wanna think about it liao..."

"scared can't get straight As liao..."

"sure won't get straight As liao..."

=.=;;

Michele, She-Reen and I]

So, we talked about SR's stories in NS;

chele's dislikes about the pressure-fying people pressure-fying her life,

and I... just listen. and laugh.

[lol, sorry Allan. Didn't realize how loud my laugh was x.x]

Then chele said that it was no use regretting, and asked us [honestly] when we got our results and weren't happy with them, and if we were able to turn back time, would we have gone back to work harder?

For me...

Honestly, no.

I know I wouldn't.

I couldn't.

I'm not that discplined enough for that.

In fact, I would have done the exact same thing I did last year anyways.

There would be no difference whether or not I re-wound the clock.

So I just had to accept whatever results that the Lord gave to me.

Fast-forwarding after that,

we were sitting in the hall for about... 1 hour, waiting for the teacher to announce our result.

lol, he was so happy with us, saying that our batch have improved by 10% compared to 2005

compare our batch to last year, we improved by 2%

89.2% on average passed... lol

I tell you...

it was damn nerve-wrecking wei!

When they announced that there were 17 top excellent students, we were like...

*cricket cue*

Then, starting from 17, we went right up to number 1.

Wow. Lol!!

It was super surprising, jaw-dropping, and a lot of drama-filled moments! x.x

Yeah, I know. WAHLAO.

The people you didn't expect to score, scored.

The people who you expected to score... also scored la! But maybe not as high...

Well, I've been away from school for a long time, and I was thinking...

"Hm... yeah... okay..."

without even realizing who was supposed to score and who... wasn't expected to score.

Ah well.

If you're wondering why I wasn't as nervous, I will tell you;

it's because I had already been told my result.

About how many As I had.

But not where I was in that placing.

I tell you ah...

I was telling Mum on having the 10As thing.

I told her... "I'm only confident in getting 5As on 5 subjects...

BI, Moral, Add Maths, Maths, and BK."

Turns out, yeah, I predicted correctly the subjects that I would score...

except BK. D:

And for the rest, which I said, I don't think I could perform, God allowed me to do well.

Thank you, God.

So, what did I get?

At first I was like...

*jaw drop*

*heart beats*

*excitement... no more*

Happy? I didn't want to be too happy.

Sad? How to be sad when you already know your result?

But I was unhappy with one thing, though.

"WHY MY BK RESULT IS A, NOT A+?!" D:

... actually, when I thought about it, I kind of felt VERY dissappointed.

I kept thinking, "What went wrong?"

Where did I go wrong? T^T

I dunno. God probably didn't want to give me A+ for a good reason.

This results was in His Hands, in the first place.

Lord, help me to accept your will.

Help me to understand; help me to stop myself from questioning you, o Lord.

Help me to be humble this way. I need You, Lord.

Please grant me this grace. Thank you, Lord.

Your Will be done.



Amen.

So, besides that, I went to collect the testimonials [I think]

and then got my school's magazine :)

Of course, there are so many more people who asked, and were told; but I have no time to fit them all here, I have to go bathe.

Whole Day Persuader

OhMiGosh!!

You have no idea what we did yesterday, today.

Yeah, well...

The first outing since bestie She-Reen came back, was held yesterday.

Somehow, it was planned at the last minute 

[talk about 10 - 11 p.m. planning for the next day]

Then, we went to Midvalley...

[originally supposed to take bus/train, ended up with own transport... except for Michele,

who took a bus to Midvalley to meet up with SR and I. LOL]

...We walked, looked at shoes, clothes, dresses, tops...

then sat down at Secret Recipe to eat lunch.

Then we talked and catched up.

Then we walked, played around for a bit, before having 5 p.m. dinner at KFC.

Then my Mum came, and picked us up with her friend, P Gip to send us home.

On the way home, somehow, an idea crept in to our heads...

...to have a sleepover. ROFL!!

I had persuade people so many times just to make it work! [hahaha]

Mum was totally reluctant [but she let me go xD]

Dad was... okay. With. It. [lol]

Then with transport and everything settled, suddenly my bestie Michele, 

called Mum and told her that she's not going. O.O?!

I was told that she 'sounded' angry, like she fought with her parents.

So I called SR, and told her "sorry, plan cancelled" D:

Then I called chele... cause Mum mentioned it.

Wahlao! Called liao, she was like...

"Hm? Yeah. Got too many things to do, so can't make it."

*shocked beyond recognition*

So I persuaded her too; lol!!

This book was given to me last Christmas. By sis.
Sorry, forgot to mention that she gave me this book in the Prezzie post ;3

Sypnosis:

Truth to be told, it was kinda boring in the first few pages of Chapter 2, when I was first introduced to Willow. But after that, it was smooth sailing.
[Not to say I skipped the Prologue, okay, lol]

hm... there's no 18+ rating stuff though, and it's okay for those 12+ to read.
You know what it means if it's safe for my sis, ;)

It is L. A. Weatherly's first book, I think.
It has 507 pages, and it comes in a nice cover. lol

SPOILER ALERT!

So, this book is about... angels.
Who come to Earth because their world is dying.
And apparantly, they come to earth to feed of humans.

Nothing good comes out of it, though.
The humans who are fed upon becomes sicker, and more mentally afflicted.
Their "aura" becomes grey-er, more and more dull.

Yet, they think that the angels were good to them.
As if it was the best experience they ever had.

Alex is an angel killer.
[I actually wonder how he can kill angels with physical bullets when they are actually spiritual beings... Well, it's fiction after all]
17-years-old, and is a mean machine, controlling charkras to see angels.
His hatred for angels run deep...
as it was because of the angels that his whole family died.

Willow is a gentle girl.
Half angel, half human, she seems to have it in her to destroy the angels.
She's 17, too. lol.
She's also pyshic, thanks to her half-angel.

Plot goes like this:
Willow reads a friend, Beth, who had been fed on by an angel, Paschar.
Then Paschar finds out about Willow through Beth, and is afraid. Paschar warns Raziel, head angel of Church of Angels [yeah I know, weird name].

Raziel then dispatches Alex to kill Willow.

Alex tries to kill Willow, but can't.
As she is half-angel, half-human.
Then he refuses to kill Willow...
and suspects that his "boss" is an angel.

Then Willow goes to the Church of Angels,
almost got caught by the angry mob,
runs away with Alex...
ends up falling in love...

then tries to kill all other angels during the coming of the Second Wave of Angels,
but mysteriously fails, almost dying.
Alex arrives in the nick of time to rescue her...


Honestly, I kinda love this book.
It's not 18+ rated, which is awesome, or else I have to skip pages =.=;

It kept me entertained, and wondering: what will happen next?
There are some heart-stopping moments, actually.

Heck, this book reminds me of Numbers
without the dying stuff and apocalypse stuff...
and with a slightly mild cursing too.

If only Alex wouldn't swear against the Lord, that'll be great.

Another one complaint, though.
After you finish reading this, you won't be able to look at angels the same way again...
maybe for a day or two.
 [In a negative way, I mean]

Don't try this book for any sort of spiritual stuff; it's a ♥ novel. lol
[erm... hate-turns-to-love sort of thing? yeah.]

Okay, so now I'll need to watch out for the next book, Angel Fire...
somewhere this June.

The third book would be out in 2012.
Why do I have a feeling that the books have already been written? -.-;

Okay...

As title suggest, I'm wondering when the result dates for SPM are.

Do you guys know that there's a rumor going on...

One after another.

Some say...

"Oh, it's coming out on 28th February."

Well... 28th comes and goes...

No sign of results.

Then others say...

"What? It's on the 10th of March?!"

Well...

10th of March, comes and goes. 

No result o.o D: D:

After that, NS trainees come back...

And now, there's people saying...

"Spm's SPM's 2010 Result Date is coming out on the..

*hold your breath for this*

23rd of March 2011!!"

It's less than a week more!!

[Which this time, I totally believe it's true, okay?!]

Japan Quake + KAT-TUN??

Hey, all :)

What's up? I know, the ceiling...

But on a more drastic note, what's happened recently was the huge earthquake which tremors not only rocked Japan, but also caused a 4 metre [am I right?] tsunami to crash on the east coast, wiping out cities, towns and villages.

The 8.9 magnitude earthquake is no joke.

The newspaper [or more accurately, the Star] has been plastering images of devastated victims and naturally demolished buildings... all who only invoke crushed feelings not only of victims, but also to the rest of the world.

Tsunamis and natural disasters are bad enough, to only see the damage done is very heart-wretching that would only bring tears to the eyes, regardless of whether you're affected by it.

Anyone with a heart would feel the same way!

To make matters worse, the nuclear plants in areas affected by the tsunami-led earthquake are now blowing up, due to the reactants' unstablility. Now Japan would be prone to radioactive particles all around in affected areas.

And, even if I have the knowledge of a Form Five Science Student who took Form Five Physics, it's saddening to know that there are [more] people in Japan who would be exposed to the radioactive particles.

All kinds of mutation will happen in the next generation. It's horrifying.

"Malaysia's Plans To Go Forward with The Nuclear Plant" Rant

begins now.

And yet, our country seems to go ahead with its nuclear plant's plan to be built in the near future.
Honestly, disaster happens; even if you think will can never happen because this country is located in the Ring of Fire.
And if it happens, who will help us take care of it? The US? China? Japan?

Please.
If Japan, the much advanced country in this world, is struggling to contain the nuclear plants EVEN WHEN THEY HAVE EXPERTS, how are we going to cope with the maintainence - since we DON'T even have local experts on nuclear plants?

This involves engineers, researches, scientists... you name it!
It's not like I'm against using hi-tech power supplies...

It's because we don't have the man skills, power nor resources to handle this!
Heck, we don't even have a suitable place!

Not for building, and not for the waste, too!!
Just what are we doing to ourselves?

So... HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

 Went to Sunway...

It was almost Chinese New Year :)

Actually, it's meant as an early[/late?] celebration of my sis's 14th B-Day.

Hehehe~ 

Getting bigger by the year, owh~

 Had a Shogun Buffet for lunch :9

Loved the *ENOKI TEMPURA*

and *CHOCOLATE/TIRAMISU CAKE*!

 Call 'em if you want 'em!

BTW that time, senior citizens had 50% Discount!

After Dad paid, they gave him a 50% voucher, ending in a month's time or so.

I told him to go have lunch/dinner there again by himself...

He could have one FREE buffet meal!! O.O

 Nice, eh?

Didn't really know that Shogun existed in Sunway, until I ate there xD

Somewhere along the way, I went for the driving test [undang].

 This restaurant is an extension of Mum's favourite Yong Tau Fu shop.

So guess who's SUPER happy about this?

Haha! In fact, she was pretty pissed when Dad took sis and I to eat there 

when she went to Singapore for a holiday! LOL

Erm... recently, we celebrated Dad's 62nd B-day.

Actually, his B-Day was on the 28th Feb, but he came back late, so...

yeah. 

By then, the cake was 2 days old liao.

Still tasty though :9

had placed their pillar at a very weird place.

I was looking at the cake, then hit my backside on it =.=

I thought I hit a human, see see it was a grey, solid, metal pillar.

Right in front of the cashier summore.

Then, the next day

I went to the Beastly Premiere in Cathay Complex in e Curve.

 lol!

Went there at 6 p.m.

The ticket counter opened at 8.30 p.m.

People started to Queue at 8 p.m.

I waited while eating ice cream and working.

[In e Curve, but not FOR e Curve xP]

Anyways!!

To tell you the truth, 

Beastly was great, but it lacked somethings.

1) Superb Dialogue

2) A good pace [It was too fast... 1 1/2 hours show! yet too fast!]

3) Creepy villains [who want to kill the girl...]

4) Suspense

SPOLIER ALERT!!

Heck, I'd like a climax where the villain [the drug addict]
actually managed to get his hands on the girl,
and a fight ensued between the Beast and the Villain...

the Villain loses, but the Beastly nears death, and the girl tells him,

"I love you!"

Then he becomes Kyle again.

Awhhh... sweet sweet!!

Okay, this is MY opinion, and you don't have to remind me that this is not a Disney movie, fine.

It started too fast [almost zero commercials] and ended too fast.

hm...?

My parents said it was great.

I don't want SPOILERS though, so I won't tell you either :P

watching them rise like bread!!
